1. Recognize them
Learn your customers' names and what they usually order. Think of the coffee shop where they ask "the usual?": you feel important without anyone dropping a single peso. Start with your most frequent customers and note their name and usual order on your phone.
2. Make coming back easy
Put an NFC tag by the register, which is a small plate that activates when a phone is held up to it, or a QR code that opens your WhatsApp with the message already written. The customer just taps it and writes to you, with no app to install.
3. Remind them right when it is time to return
This is the one almost nobody does. Note when each customer came in and when they would be due back, and write to them at that moment. For example, a barbershop can send a short message like this one, which arrives on time and costs no discount. It is written in Spanish; adapt it to your own language.
Hola, [nombre]. Ya te tocaba [lo que suele pedir]. ¿Te agendo esta semana?
Start with one
You do not need all three at once. Pick the one that is easiest this week; the third can wait until you have your customers' dates noted down.
