Make your menu in Canva, for free

You can make a menu that looks good in three steps using Canva, a website for designing. There is a catch worth knowing before you start, and we explain it in the last step.

1. Sign in to Canva with your email

Create your account with your email and stay on the free plan.

2. Type "menu" in the search box and pick a template

A template is a ready-made design. Search for the word menu (menú in Spanish) and pick the one that best fits your business.

3. Change the text and add your photos

Replace the dishes and prices with yours and upload your own photos. Your photos show the customer what they will actually get.

4. Download it as a PDF

A PDF is a file that looks the same on any phone. Download it to print it or send it on WhatsApp.

5. Watch out for the crown

In Canva, some templates, fonts and drawings carry a crown. That crown marks paid content: you might be asked to pay to download a design that uses it. If you use only what has no crown, your menu stays free and without surprises.

It is going well if: Nothing in your menu carries a crown.
Fix it if: You see a crown on the template, a font or a drawing you used.
